KWL animals

I chose it because I wanted to show people what I've learnt about bees.
WALT write a report about insects.
My favorite part was searching online and looking at pictures of bees.
The challenging part was having to look at two websites.
I overcame the challenge by focusing.

Bees

Baby bees.
The scientific name for a baby bee is “larvae.”Larvae hatch from the eggs that are laid by the queen within the honeycombs of the bee hive.Once a larvae emerges from its egg, it is fed a nutritious substance called royal jelly.

Queen bees
Only the queen in the hive can lay egg.She communicates with her hive with her own special scent called pheromones. The queen will lay around 1,500 eggs per day.She eat royal jelly.

Worker bees.
The worker bees are all female and they do all the work for the hive.Workers perform the following tasks inside the hive as a house bee:Cleaning, feeding the baby bees, feeding and taking care of the queen, packing pollen and nectar into cells, capping cells, building and repairing honeycombs, fanning to cool the hive and guarding the hive.If worker bees use her stinger, she will die.

Finding food.
Honey bees can give each other directions using polarized light as a landmark to find potential food.
When they are looking for food they might fly for up to six miles.

Poem

I chose this poem because I like reading it and I want to share with everyone else.
The challenging
part was when we had to think of our own sentences.
I got past the challenge when I remembered that my big brother plays basketball in their school hall.
My favorite part of the poem is the 3rd part.

Crunching ginger biscuits
Is like hearing soldiers tread
I fell down on the floor
And bang my head.

Chewing a marshmallow
Is nowhere near as loud
The cricket team always get fired
Up by the loudness of the crowd

Playing basketball in the hall is like
Playing outside in the splashing waterfall
Falling down and banging my head on
The floor as hard as hitting a cricket ball.
